  1. Chili used for frito pies was WAY too salty. Could not eat them and threw both away. Burgers were decent, fries just like I like them crispy not soggy. They need to use foam for milkshakes. Used it for everything else but the shakes. A bit runny by the time they got here, and pricey. Overall I would recommend burgers and fries only for good food at good value.

  2. I love the food, the delivery on the other hand was sub par. An hour after the suggested time, cold, and the driver asked me to come get the food outside instead of actually delivering it. While it’s a first world problem to leave my apartment it’s about convenience. I’m writing this review as well because I have time to spare, I’ve got to microwave it anyway.

  3. Ordered Moonies through Grubhub (our favorite delivery app, who ALWAYS makes thing right, even when it’s not their fault) against my better judgment. Moonies has been my families favorite for years, but nearly every time we’ve ordered them (at least 15 or more times in the last year), our order has been wrong, and/or missing items. I stopped ordering from them for a while due to this reason. My kids really wanted it tonight, so I crossed my fingers, and toes, and ordered. The last time I called Grubhub customer service about a wrong order (from Moonies), they suggested that I call the restaurant, after placing the order, to verify any special request, etc.., so I did so. The lady at the restaurant verified my order and special requests (no veggies on a bacon cheese chicken sandwich and several extra ranch dipping sauces), and said that she’d personally take care of it. Well, our order got here, and we were missing a fry, and our chicken bacon cheese sandwiches came without cheese or bacon (so just with a chicken patty and mayo). I called Grubhub customer service, and they called the restaurant to let them know, and to see if they would refund any of the items (which any other place I’ve ordered from always does, when they make a mistake, even though that rarely happens with anyone but Moonies). The restaurant said that they double checked the order and that it was right (and I was basically lying), so they would not be refunding my money for anything wrong or missing. Thankfully, Grubhub is amazing, and they sent me a credit, that I could use next time I ordered through them. I’m really bummed, because Moonies was my families favorite, but we will never order from them, or eat at their restaurant EVER again (and we will be telling our family and friends to do the same). Please don’t order from this restaurant, if you want all of the food you ordered to be delivered, and to be correct.

  4. You left me hanging tonight. My order didn’t come. I called. Your guy told me you all had been slammed and the drivers walked out. Asked what that meant for my $45 order (pre-paid, with 20 percent tip for driver). He asked me if I wanted to talk to the manager. Then he put the phone on the counter. And nothing. Your phone has been off the hook since then. Was just sent a notification that my order is on the way. If it comes. Sorry, but this was the absolutely perfect example of what not to do. Your food is good. But not that good.

  5. They sent me someone else’s order with my order tag on the bag, so the driver had no way to know. When customer service called them, they said the only circumstances under which I could get my food was if I drove to the restaurant within five mins, otherwise they would throw it out and close the place. I can’t drive at all, which is why I’m using GH. The entire order had to be refunded and I went without anything to eat because the other diners’ order didn’t include anything I’m allowed to eat.

  6. I requested to skip the bun and get the lettuce wrap instead. The single piece of lettuce I received wasn’t even big enough to cover the burger if I layed it flat on top of it. I was very disappointed in this, I have ordered burgers this way from other restaurants and have been able to actually wrap the entire burger up in the lettuce. If you are going to offer something as a substitution make sure it is comparable to the item not being used.

  7. I had Paul as my driver and he didn’t read the delivery notes, and then was rude when he called with questions. He ended up making my roommate walk out to meet him because he didn’t want to walk a few hundred feet to us. We would’ve gotten it ourselves if we wanted to go get it! Inpatient, unprofessional, and very rude.

  8. The order was picked up late, the fries were cold, there was no side off ranch and the burger was not to order, either. I love Moonies but never again for delivery. Not sure that I will consider Grubhub again. $18 for a meal that was cold and made incorrectly.

  9. The bacon on my bacon cheeseburger consisted of a single big chunk of unrendered baconfat and no actual meat. A rare miss from Moonie’s. Their bacon cheeseburgers usually come with two full strips of thick cut bacon. After picking that gross thing off, it’s still a tasty cheeseburger and fries, but it’s hard not to be disappointed when the signature ingredient of your sandwich is so bad that you have to pick it off. Other than the bacon issue, my order was good. The burger was still hot, the fries were still nice and crispy, and all the ingredients besides the bacon were fresh and high quality.

  10. Only half of the order was delivered. When I called they didn’t seem concerned that I didn’t get all of my food and also couldn’t answer simple menu questions when asked; i.e. does that come with fries? Then I had to go pick up the rest of the food. If I wanted to drive to the restaurant I wouldn’t have paid to have it delivered. I didn’t get a discount or apology..nothing. The food was good but I probably won’t eat there again because of the service.

  11. Moonies is great but your driver left before our order was ready. He delivered half of our stuff, told me it wasn’t his job to check and then told me to call the restaurant. I had to drive there to get the other half of my stuff so that I could come home and eat my cold food.

  12. So Moonies is always good! So this is not a review for them, but for Grubhub. My driver was extremely late, and our food was cold because of that. I’m not sure why the driver would pick up the order then drives 30 mins out when the restaurant is only 15 mins down the street. Next time I’ll just order through the restaurant and pick up myself. Having my food be cold because of the driver isn’t worth all the delivery fees

  13. Burger was under cooked (med rare), fries and onion rings were cold. Moonies staff was very helpful resolving the situation and proving information on how to get a refund. GrubHub however was not. It wouldn’t let me fully report the issues with my order and thus wouldn’t give me a full refund on a mostly inedible order. I will not be using this service again. Fixed your site GrubHub, it shouldn’t be hard to get in contact with someone when there’s an issue.

  14. I want to start this review with thanking GrubHub for already refunding me for the issue! The chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes were all good. My issue with the order was my burger. One that we got was fine. A little pink but still good. Mine wasn’t just undercooked, it was basically UNCOOKED. It hit the heat enough to brown just the outside and it turned my bottom bun soggy and pink. I’ve had undercooked burgers before that were still manageable to eat but this was a whole new level. I only had 2 bites and I still feel unwell the next morning. I do have pictures but unsure if a review through the app will let me post them. I am very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. Be warned – if you order a burger, add extra notes to stress you want it actually cooked! Or just avoid the burgers all together.
