The history of the restaurant
The first Starbucks restaurant opened in Seattle Washington USA on 31st March 1971. The three business partners who opened the restaurant were students at San Francisco University. To begin with, the company sold only roasted whole coffee beans and did not start brewing coffee to sell. Now only brewed coffee that it offered was free samples.
How their menu changed over time
In 1987, the original owners of the restaurant sold it to Howard Schultz, a former manager. Howard branded it in a different way a Starbucks and caused its rapid expansion.
In 1994, Starbucks bought the Coffee Connection. The Frappuccino beverage became a popular item and subsequently, it introduced many different items in their menu between 1995 and 2012. And, many changes happened over all these years. For example, in 2017, the restaurant announced to launch a limited edition of two new specialty drinks made from beans. Thus it has been introducing new items with a view to lure food lovers.
