History

In the process of advocating for a healthier lifestyle, kirk perron who was at the California Polytechnic state university founded this restaurant that has now grown to hundreds of outlets. Together with three of his friends, they came up with Juice Club Inc. in 1990. This collaboration saw the rise of the restaurant and eleven years later, they acquired the Zuka brand which was also a well-known brand. This acquisition opened doors for many other opportunities that continue to enhance the growth of Jamba. Despite this, Jamba was acquired two years later.

Through the new ownership, Jamba transacted convertible stocks that were led by a private equity fund. Two years later after the stock trading, the restaurant began a move that would see them expand to other items such as wraps and salads among others. The launch of these new products was marred by some challenges including a lawsuit where it was alleged that Jamba Juice had used another person’s advert without giving him credit. Being a leading restaurant in the drinks niche, Jamba Juice menu prices are reasonable and within the normal range compared to other restaurants in a similar field.
