  1. Food was on time and correct, but mediocre. Sweet and sour chicken was very dry and bland and at least obe of the carrot slices should probably have been discarded when trimming the carrot. Fried dumplings were good. Brown rice (from combo) was good. Overall, not bad, wish the chicken was better.

  2. I didn’t even specify ‘no contact’ delivery, but they did it anyway, and I really appreciate that. The food is as tasty as always, and even though I am fairly close by, it came surprisingly quickly. Lived it!

  3. The Jalapeno Chicken was excellent. The Pork and Cabbage soup was good too, but I think bamboo was used instead of cabbage? Maybe I am just ignorant about cabbage. But it was so good. I will have meals for the next day too.

  4. I unfortunately didn’t get the girl’s name who gave us our order (my husband went and picked it up), but she was absolutely wonderful! He and I have a favorite Chinese place that’s unfortunately closed during the covid pandemic. We were definitely not expecting and pleasantly surprised that we love Lucky’s as much as that place! Thank you so much to the employees who prepped and served our food with care!

  5. It’s not as good as I remember from a few years ago. The lo mein noodles were mushy and that was a textural turn off. The spring roll was really tasty and crispy, the eggroll so-so. It was delivered quickly and the driver was really nice

  6. I am a Handicap person due to Multiple Sclerosis and I have specific instructions for delivery which I included in my order. My food was going to be left outside of the front door to Building 3091. Here is my instructions which were NOT followed; “Turn into Aspen Chase. Goto 2nd R.(just past Guard). Imm. park on L. Build.#3091. Use Call Button Apt.#2125A. Once Buzzed in, Go to Apt. Bottom F, Back R (#2125A). Place food on top of White Plastic Bag. call (310)259-1726 once deliverd.”

  7. The food was great, we love getting food from here, but we defiantly will not be again. When we tip we prefer to do so in cash, however as soon as the driver turned up he was demanding why we hadn’t tipped. My wife happened to have cash in her pocket and was going to tip him as we took the food off his hands. However he was extremely rude and started demanding the tip from half way down the driveway, so we didn’t and as such will not be ordering from here again.

  8. My chicken fried rice had little to no chicken in it—so it was basically just rice—and the driver completely forgot the two drinks I ordered and paid for. Normally this wouldn’t have been a huge deal, however this was the second time something like this had happened. I was also promised a refund by the restaurant and it’s been over 24 hours with no change.

  9. Lucky 7 is consistently good, always delivered hot, and is my absolute go to for Chinese locally. I’ve been eating there for almost 17 years and it’s been solid throughout all of them. Their pork lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and mongolian beef are all particular favorites.

  10. I order from here often and usually I would rate this place 5 stars, but on this occasion they forgot to add the sweet and sour sauce for both the spring rolls and the sweet and sour chicken I ordered. Therefore it was just… chicken. Not a normal thing for them, admittedly, but it was disappointing.

  11. I have been going here since I was a freshman at EMU, almost 4 years. This has always been my comfort food spot. Woman who runs the front of house (and possibly the whole store) makes the atmosphere feel so homey. Will always have a place in my heart!

  12. Egg roll and spring roll were pretty good. The fried rice was basically white rice with soy sauce…no vegetables or anything and the General Tso chicken wasn’t too good. If I ordered in the future if only get the egg and spring rolls.

  13. My only complaint is that they forgot one of my eggrolls and I forgot the on portion of rice came with onions in it so there was a lot of onions in the rice and I don’t like onions. Also coulda been a little more soy sauce, especuially seeing I asked for extra

  14. Their menu on Grubhub is either incorrect or I was given the wrong food. My chicken was supposed to come with an egg roll and fried rice, which neither were in the bag. And the chicken tasted horrible. The chicken lo mein was decent, but was a larger size than I ordered.

  15. I ordered from Lucky 7 because my favorite Chinese place is currently closed. I ordered lemon chicken, chicken fried rice, and a spring roll. While the delivery was timely, the food was only moderately hot. The egg roll was gummy on the inside. The lemon chicken was made up of small, individual pieces of chicken and was more breading then chicken. The lemon sauce was very lemon-y, but was quite thick. This dish came with white rice which was fine, but there wasn’t much included. The chicken fried rice had small shredded pieces of chicken, instead of larger pieces that I would have gotten from my other place. Finally, instead of the typical complimentary fortune cookie, if you wanted one, they were 6 for .99 cents. The soda was also .99 a can, which is typical around here. Lucky 7’s prices were on the higher end of typical for the area, but their sizes are smaller. I’ll be waiting for my other place to re-open before I order Chinese again, unfortunately.

  16. Absolutely loved it! The man who brought my food was sweet as a peach and came earlier than expected. Food was not bad and still warm!
