  1. I’m not sure if recipes have changed, but nothing tasted as expected. The description for the goat curry sauce was not detailed enough to explain what to expect; it was not a smooth tomato-based sauce as in other curries, but a lumpier, sour, herb-filled sauce with a heavy amount of cilantro. The goat was more bone than meat by far; there were almost no edible pieces. As for the chicken korma, the chicken was only a few large, fatty chunks as opposed to more bite-sized pieces. The sauce was not well emulsified and had very little flavor or spice, despite requesting Spice Level 4. The Chicken 65 was decently spicy at Spice Level 4, but it also had a ton of cilantro and had a much more sour flavor than previous orders did. Better descriptions might have allowed me to know more about what to expect – but, without them, I wound up ordering things that I found very unsatisfying.

  2. Took 2 hours between order entry and food delivery. Used GrubHub for months, never had delivery time this long even on the most busiest days. Called restaurant and food was ready and sitting for over an hour waiting for driver to be assigned. When the food was delivered about 2 hours later, it was cold. Delivery driver told another driver may have accepted then rejected the order causing the delay. This is unacceptable. If this happens again, I am switching to another app. I blame the app on this annoyance and not the restaurant.

  3. Ordered in Grubhub for first time and it failed to deliver the food. Driver updated as delivered without being delivering or contacting or picking the call. Worst experience and lost the reputation of Grubhub in my first order. Called customer care what they say is simply refund your order as driver not picking up the call. I order well in advance but by the time Grubhub updated the refund, other restaurants were closed and I had to sleep with empty stomach. Never going to order with Grubhub anymore. I suggest others not to trust the brand.

  4. I’m new to Indian food (except for grocery store freezer ones) – so this was an amazingly fragrant surprise. The butter chicken and basmati rice complimented one another very well balancing the spicy, saucy chicken with the delicate rice. The masala chai tea was so pungent and strong that it was a little bitter… in a rather good way. Everything from the rice to the sauces were so full of flavor but not too much. I’ll definitely order from Spice Fine again. Yum!

  5. This was the worst experience I have ever had. My driver went to the wrong location, never answered my calls, and never responded to my texts. The CSR Supervisor did refund my order and informed me that I would not be charged, but did say that I would still get the order. My driver never showed. I went with a different company to order something else. IM GLAD I decided not to wait too long, because it never showed. I even tried to drive to my driver, and when she drove off, I waved her down and tried pointing to my house, but she just drove off. I’m currently unsure if I will ever use Grubhub again. This is not the first time I’ve had issues. I would rather pay more and have accurate delivery, then to not be sure if I will be able to feed my family. We ended up not able to eat until 2 hours after I had a scheduled delivery.

  6. My driver Billy refused to bring my order to my door, despite already having received a 20% tip from me. My order was running over an hour late, only to end up receiving somebody else’s food instead of my own. I have had multiple issues with late orders from Spice, and now I just spent $25 on a meal for one person that never actually showed up. Luckily for me, GrubHub customer service has agreed to refund me for this order, though I certainly won’t be spending my hard-earned money at Spice Fine Indian Cuisine from now on.

  7. The food was excellent, but the driver was not good. My food took a very long time to arrive, with the driver making a stop for several minutes between the restaurant and my house (maybe making another delivery? took forever…) and then he couldn’t find my house, which is very clearly marked. I’ve never had a driver struggle to find my house before. I texted him and called him and got no response. I had to walk down the street and meet him at his car to get my delivery. My food had cooled by the time I was able to sit down to eat. This was the worst delivery experience I’ve had so far with delivery services.

  8. I hate giving 2 stars…but hopefully this will encourage the restaurant to do better. I know their butter chicken very well. Today it had a weird taste. The mutton biryani was really bad. The meat is hard and had a lot of skin ..I didn’t find a single good meat piece….The fresh rice was put in top of old rice.

  9. I wish I could rate this restaurant a 6 or higher. Easily the best Indian cuisine I’ve had in the area. I don’t even care that the order was late – they obviously spent the extra time perfecting my order. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon!

  10. I used to love Spice when dining in and it’s just as good delivered! We got samosas, garlic naan, onion kulcha, and chicken saag. The samosas were a bit bland but everything else was so good, it totally made up for it. We’ll definitely order from here again!

  11. Spice Fine Indian Cuisine is an incredible value. Their food is flavorful and authentic, and their prices are fantastic for the quality and portions they deliver. I cannot wait until quarantine is over so that I can visit their establishment in person and rain compliments upon the chef there. Simply delicious every time!

  12. I might reorder for a snack sometime but not likely. $12 for a small bowl? Besides being way overpriced for the food you get is pretty good except their desserts. Waaay too sweet. They all taste like pure sugar. The kids liked them ok, because I mean, SUGAR! Ha. It will cost you $100 to feed a family of 5 and that’s with them offering a 25% discount!!! Overall; good food but overpriced, and with money being tight because of Covid-19 I’m all for supporting businesses but not at the cost of breaking the bank.

  13. Spice Fine has become a go-to for me. Every time I’ve ordered from them before now, I’ve been treated to perfectly cooked chicken and a wonderful curry with a nice depth of flavor. This time, I decided to order lamb Korma instead of chicken and I was treated to tender, perfectly cooked lamb mixed in with the usual top tier curry. I highly recommend Spice Fine if you have a hankering for some Indian food.

  14. Food was great. Delivery was horrible. I watched as the driver drove the wrong direction 3 times. I live 5-min away from the restaurant and the driver drove the opposite direction extending the delivery time by 30-min and causing the food to be cold when it arrived. I microwaved the food and it still tasted good but 0/10 to the driver. I recommend the restaurant but will not recommend Grubhub for the more of delivery if this becomes a trend.
