  1. We ordered lunch. It was okay. Our favorite is Cedar Garden in St. Clair Shores. We tend to compare all others to our favorite. We had the Shish tawook sandwich and the chicken schwarma sandwich along with hummus and pita bread. The hummus wasn’t bad. Overall Pita Pita was just a mediocre eatery for us. We are from Michigan but not the Ann Arbor area. Staying at the Children’s hospital currently. We did eat good Mediterranean food in the Farmers Market. Lovely woman named Ferial makes a mean hummus and she is also an amazing gal!

  2. We ordered a shawarma and a falafel deluxe. One of the sandwiches was labeled with “dlx.” So we assumed it was falafel deluxe. However, it was not. We received two shawarma sandwiches; luckily neither of us is vegetarian. It all tasted good, but it was a little disappointing.

  3. Ordered arrived 15 minutes before estimated delivery time. Food was very hot. Order was correct including how I wanted the steak cooked for the kabobs. This was the 1st time I ordered from Pita Pita for delivery. I usually go to the restaurant and order food to go. As fast as the delivery was and food still really hot right off the grill I’m not sure I could get take out and get home with food that hot. Only thing I didn’t like and this has nothing to do with Pita Pita it’s due to my own personal taste and opinion was the lentil soup. I ordered the soup instead of the salad because I already had a salad to eat. This was my very first time trying the soup. Fir now on I will order the salad with the meal.

  4. Absolutely delicious food. The fattoush was amazing, and very filling (portion size was awesome!!) The hummus was also top notch, and there was plenty of pita sent with the hummus. All in all, I look forward to ordering from this restaurant again.

  5. The food was good enough but my order was incorrect when it was delivered and the delivery guy came up to my door with a lit cigarette in his hand, that seemed weird to me. The person I spoke to at the restaurant seemed interested in getting me a credit towards future orders but to be honest I don’t know that there will be a future order. For a $9 delivery charge it would be really great if it was correct.

  6. They only delivered half my order. After I called, they explained that it’d be another 30-40 minutes before they could deliver the rest. I said that was unacceptable and they delivered the rest within 20 minutes. Food was really good. They just need to work on being thorough.

  7. We were again missing food. This has happened several times using your service. I paid over 50 dollars for food that was worth 30. At this point I have given up to call and ask because it’s not doing anything. Waste of money. Will not be using your service again

  8. The restaurant was great but they got notice that the order was supposed to be an hour earlier than it was by grub hub and they delivered an hour early. The restaurant told me to call grub hub and get a refund but when grub hub called the restaurant they denied those claims. Although the food was good we had to warm it up which was annoying because they served it in metal tins so we had to take the food out of the tins to warm it up in the microwave. Very disappointed. Won’t be using grub hub again to place orders like this

  9. I ordered from them lots of time before and were always good! But this time, the food arrived late than expected, it was wrong at the first delivery (after they brought the right one) and, because of this, the food was cold… ? But I’m still thinking to order from them!

  10. The food was delicious and arrived still hot! I’ve eaten at the restaurant before, so I already knew it was amazing. The food actually came 20 minutes early and the driver was friendly. I will probably go broke ordering from Pita Pita… but it will be tasty!

  11. Shish Kabob meat was a little rare. Lemon pepper chicken was really greasy. Styrofoam containers really flimsy. I ordered french fries which should have been packaged separately because they were all soggy from the grease from the chicken. Smoothie was made with hardly any ice.

  12. They called me asking me to come early to pick up my food because they wanted to leave early. The feta was on the side when it was supposed to be in the pita. Just felt like I could have gone to the store and make it myself if I was gonna end up putting things in the wrap anyway.

  13. The food came on time, but they forgot one of the orders. When I called to let them know they made a mistake. She tried to make seem like I didn’t order it. By telling me no you didn’t order it. she claimed she was the one who typed it . I told her I have the receipt right in front of me. Than she said oh ok, but I can’t deliver it. I said why cant you deliver it, you made the mistake. I ended up getting a refund. She was not sorry for the mistake she made, instead she was rude about it.

  14. I love middle eastern food, don’t get me wrong. But ordered Musaka for delivery, a dish I haven’t had before. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to enjoy the dish because most of my onions and eggplant were burnt. This gave the tomato sauce a burnt taste throughout. My girlfriend’s falafel pita sandwich was very dry too. I will give pita pita another chance someday but it won’t be for awhile.

  15. I ordered a Chicken Shwarma (probably spelled it wrong) wrap and I gotta say that it wasn’t very good. The sauce was pretty authentic but the chicken… super dry. Had to really bite into it and that is not how chicken should be. Also, food was cold by the time I got it. Shouldn’t take 50 minutes to deliver either.

  16. The baba ganoush was so salty that I threw it away. My husband had chicken, and he asked for the rice pilaf to be served on the side so I could have some. (I am a vegetarian.) So, my baba ganoush and rice pilaf dinner with a side salad turned out to be nothing but a side salad. I ended up opening some canned food for dinner. My husband liked his chicken and rice, though.

  17. I love good authentic Mediterranean and Pita Pita gives you that comforting home cooked taste with restaurant quality for an affordable price. Their delivery is always super fast and arrives early. My only issue is that there are items on the menu that are no longer available. When you order them they call and you have to adjust. This needs fixed. I also feel like the portions vary and sometimes it’s difficult to gage just how many people the platters actually feed.

  18. Always amazing. Whether you dine in, or take out. I have said it before; consistency is a strength of theirs. Their chicken shawarma is amazing – far better than any other around this area – and combined with their smoothies, a guaranteed hitter of ‘spot’. Try them, you won’t regret it!

  19. I have ordered from Pita Pita many times before and this was one of my worst experiences yet! The shawarma was super dry and the food was completely bland. The tomatoes didn’t taste fresh. They didn’t even give us some garlic sauce to help out this dry, flavorless food. I’m so disappointed! I’m not sure who prepared the food tonight but it did not taste how I remember.

  20. Pita Pita has some decent family meals and while the garlic chicken and combination kebabs are OK, this restaurant lacks consistency and you never know what you’re gonna get. I ordered the gyros and shawarma sandwiches and they were such a disappointment it was truly a waste of money. The meat was so dry I felt like I was choking it down. They sent no extra sauce either. The veggies didn’t taste fresh and the tomatoes were straight soggy. I’m never ordering a sandwich/gyro from them again! For gyros I would’ve been better off ordering from Ahmo’s gyros who are cheaper and more reliable in taste.

  21. Pita Pita has been our favorite restaurant in Ypsi for years now and their food is consistently delicious! Best garlic sauce in town, and their salad dressing is incredible! Not to mention the shawarma sandwich is really good and not super greasy like ive experienced at other restaurants. Another plus is that delivery is super fast. I’ll never stop going here as long as I live in the area.

  22. The chicken shawarma pita was mushy (not just the pita, but the chicken and toppings inside were all mushy. I don’t know if it was because the garlic sauce sat on it and it just doesn’t deliver well, but I wasn’t a fan at all. I ended up only eating less than half and filled up on the fattoush salad I ordered (which only came with 3 or 4 pita crisps on top) and pita and garlic sauce.

  23. The falafel was good, but the ghallaya was absolutely terrible. It tasted like Birds Eye steamed veggies and rice. No seasoning. No sauce. Ick. The delivery was fast, but since the ghallaya was not edible, I ended up paying $30 for a pop and sandwich. I won’t order from them again.

  24. Really, really good food. Had the vegetarian platter for 2, which I ate for 3 meals plus snacks and the foule. Excellent lentil soup. Lots of pita bread. Everything fresh and hot. Ran in and out for the pick up because of social distancing, but they were still very friendly. My only complaint is that they use styrofoam containers, which are not good for the earth. Everything else is great.

  25. My order was received and confirmed but was never picked up or delivered, no answer at the restaurant. I guess they forgot to turn their account off for the evening (my order was admittedly placed near close). It was marked as “in the works”, so I know someone was aware of the order. I used a gift card so my order is non-refundable. Very frustrating.

  26. It was great it would be good if there was an option to add extra pita bread but we were surprised when we actually got extra pita bread also if there was an option to have salad on the for my sandwiches I guess we could have asked for that somewhere else

  27. The food is usually great but always leaves me feeling extremely bloated (and other digestive issues) the next day. Maybe some contamination with pork as that’s what usually causes these issues for me; the only thing afaik.

  28. Delivery was an hour and a half late from the estimated delivery time and the driver did not leave my food at the door, but rather had me come out and meet halfway to get the food, and wasn’t wearing a mask. Not pleased

  29. The food was mediocre. It seemed fresh, but the rice was mushy and overcooked and the sauce on the chicken had broken and didn’t have much flavor. The chicken was grilled well. I probably wouldn’t order this entree again even though it’s one of my favorite meals from this type of restaurant.

  30. This is the second time that delivery and the order from Pita Pita has not been correct. Their food is fresh and well-made, if not exactly authentic. However, the order was 2 hours late and incorrect. By the time we got our food the restaurant was closed and we wouldn’t have been able to correct the order. Done. That’s the last time that I order from them.

  31. My food was terrible, I asked for hummus on the side the put it in my sandwich making it a horrible soggy mess , I couldn’t even eat it , I received items I didn’t even order & they wernt good either . The shining star of my meal was the mango juice, it was delicious!

  32. I ordered a cabbage salad with shawarma and received the regular cabbage salad. The salad with shawarma is twice the price, which I was charged for, but received the wrong item. The delivery driver also did not contact me or ring the door bell as indicated in my delivery instructions and just left my food on the porch in the sun.

  33. I love Pita Pita for many reasons: you can get a good, well rounded meal for a good price with super fast delivery. My only problem with them is that the Whole Grilled chicken doesn’t exist. It’s on the menu and every time I order it it’s substituted with chicken breast. Please update the menu to say chicken breast to save us all on the confusion.
