  1. Great tasting food with generous portion sizes for what you pay, delivery’s always on time and everything in good condition. We’ve been ordering from here for months and have never been let down once in any way. If you’re looking for new places to try out I thoroughly encourage you to give these folks a chance.

  2. I’ve ordered from here in the past and have never had any issues with the quality of the food but this time was very different. The chicken wings were good besides one piece that tasted old and very off. The entree seemed old and reheated, very tough to chew. Worst of all was the dipping sauce for the wontons, it tasted and smelled very strong of chlorine, enough to clear my sinuses. Not cool. I don’t know what happened since the last time I ordered from here but I won’t be ordering again.

  3. You charged me $1.00 for 2 soy sauces without my permission. It does not show on the website where there is an extra charge for sauce. That is stealing and I am reporting you to the better business bureau. GrubHub and Rice Bowl will bother be reported. You can not take people’s money without notification or permission. That is stealing!!

  4. This was our very first order using Grubhub and also very first time ordering from Rice Bowl Cafe. The food was absolutely delicious and I cannot believe how fresh and hot it was. I wish we had a restaurant like this where we are from but we don’t even have grubhub, either! Will definitely eat from this restaurant next time we are in Austin. Thank you, Rice Bowl Cafe!

  5. I rate them One star, because the app wouldn’t let me submit this rating with anything less. I hesitate to cast aspersions, but this is not the first time my order was wrong. I pre-ordered through the app (four hours early), when the food arrived I had items missing from my order, Normally I have had success with other restaurants in this chain, but from this particular store I have not had great success even getting the items I ordered. So there you have it. Order at your own risk.

  6. Bad experience. Menu was incorrect so they didn’t have what I ordered and paid for. Driver showed up an hour late, marked my meal as delivered an hour before he showed up, probably so that they didn’t get marked as being “late” in the system. Food was cold and not what I ordered. We bought enough food for four people and they gave us one set of silverware and one fortune cookie. I ordered and paid for a quantity of two of an item, and they only delivered one. Overall, very bad experience. I’m upset about having to pay for it.

  7. Our order was incorrect. We ordered combination rice with double shrimp and hold the pork. We had two pieces of shrimp in the entire order. I couldn’t believe the someone would put two pieces of shrimp in an entire order of combination rice when we asked for double shrimp –hold the pork. Why are there only two pieces of shrimp in any order of entree? The food was fresh and we appreciated that so so much! We love Rice Bowl

  8. I have ordered from here many times before with no problems with our order. The only difference was that this time GrubHub was in charge of delivery. I love the food quality, but this time our order that we paid for did not include the two order of potstickers that we paid for. When I contacted them through help chat, we received only one order of potstickers. By then I was irritated, but fed up…..not worth complaint AGAIN…. but next time I order from them I will be more likely to pick up the food myself, and not use GrubHub at all.

  9. VERY VERY fast. my only complaint is that the chicken in my Orange chicken was… a little bland. the sauce was ok, and the breading was right, bit the flavor underwhelmed. I recommend revisiting your seasoning process, ricebowl.

  10. The order was earlier than expected. Food was hot, tasty and packaged with care. They took the time to place support in the bag so my soup didn’t damage the container underneath and also below the food to stabilize the bag. I thought that was very thoughtful.

  11. The delivery was speed and arrived faster than the estimated time. I ordered their lunch special with multiple regular roll option and got California roll when I ordered spicy tuna. Grubhub was gracious enough to refund me for that portion. In addition, I ordered the lunch special with multiple signature roll options. The issue with that portion was the Dragon roll. From the menu they have a dragon roll under regular and signature but since it was in the name of the special I assumed I would be getting the signature roll which is shrimp tempura with tuna but instead got crab mix with eel which is the regular. The menu is confusing and they got my order wrong. The food was okay. Obviously not hot by the time it got to me but I realize its takeout. It might be better if I were physically at the restaurant. If I were desperate I would eat here again but I wouldn’t recommend it.

  12. I got the Orange Chicken and the Veggie Egg rolls. Neither of them were very good. The Egg rolls were more dough than filling and on the chewy side. The chicken was over cooked and dry on the inside. I would probably avoid this place in the future.

The food was not as good as it usually was it seems as if they rushed the food , vegetables in the rice and lo main were still really hard and when the delivery driver arrived he tried to charge me again when i already paid online and the amount he was trying to charge was double the amount i paid online horrible experience for the first time using any second party delivery service.

  14. The restaurant was perfect. It was ordering through Grub hub that was the confusing part. The restaurant didn’t deliver to my area. However, I had the option for Delivery through Grub Hub. So, I signed up. Not knowing that pickup was defaulted since they didn’t deliver. So, I tipped a driver for food that was never delivered and I had to end up picking up anyway.

  15. The food was good but not as good as usual. Also, the delivery was not contactless. The driver knocked on our door and then asked for our credit card and double charged us for the order. Best hot and sour soup around (otherwise we wouldn’t order from here again).

  16. They didn’t provide a straw, for my smoothy, I ordered a strawberry smooth and got an orange one. I ordered spring rolls and got lettuce wraps. I wasn’t going to Order from them again be cause of the food quality on my last order This time I odered food they COULDNT screw up. But they screwed up on the order. Never AGAIN!!! LOSERS.

  17. The food is nasty. Sweet and sour shrimp is so greasy and soggy. The fried rice tastes like it was frozen and microwaved. The crab Rangoons are not good. $50 for two people and the food is not fit to eat. HEB has better Chinese in the freezer section.

  18. A friend took me to an Asian food restaurant the other day and all I could think was “this is no Rice Bowl Cafe!” Rice Bowl Cafe is my go to restaurant! Great food and portions and excellent customer service. I’m a loyal and happy customer!

  19. I love this place. The Rice Bowl serves and packages their to-go meals with such care. It ispiping hot when it gets delivered. Never from any restaurant have I experienced such care. The food is always excellent. I wish they would open a rice bowl in bastrop. Shall I go on? 😉
